'''Emory Fiske Fisk Skinner''' ([[1833]]-?[[1913]]) was a lumber magnate who founded the [[Skinner Manufacturing Company]]. He migrated to the area from Wisconsin in [[1874]] and established his timber company in {{date needed}}.
Skinner was also active in politics. He was the Republican candidate for Congress in 1882, for State Senate in 1888, and a delegate to the first McKinley Nominating Convention.
