In December 1968, a basketball court was constructed near the eastern end. The park's one bench and merry-go-round were replaced in early 1974, and soon after the swings were replaced. In 2001, a sidewalk was built around it, the slide and all of the swings were again replaced, and nighttime lighting soon followed. By 2009, the park was closing nightly at 10 pm, and two benches were added on the south side of the basketball court.
