==Hugh King Scandalscandal==After Rev. Hugh King was arrested on April 28, 2007 for possession of cocaine, it was revealed that a Board member convicted of a felony may be removed by a two-thirds vote of the remaining Board. This has not yet occurredInitially, and Chairman chairman Lacey Collier has stated that King must decide for himself if his "effectiveness as a trustee has been compromised by the allegations."
After King pleaded no contest to the charges, the Board voted 11-1 (with only King dissenting) to remove him in February 2008. Bentina Terry, who works under then-board member Susan Story at the Gulf Power Company, was selected to take his place on April 11. Story abstained from the vote to appoint Terry, but later resigned from the board to avoid possible Sunshine Law violations.<ref>"Story resigns from park board."
