Commendencia Street is a short north-south street in downtown Pensacola. The street currently begins at Main Street and travels about three blocks southward, terminating at Commendencia Slip at Pensacola Bay. Historically, the street continued into the bay as Commendencia Wharf.

The street is present on the 1812 Pintado plan, where it is labelled Calle de la Commandancia.

History[edit]

At one point, Barracks Street extended north of Main to Church Street. It is depicted as such on several Sanborn maps from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
