    In 1999, Brentwood Elementary School became Brentwood Magnet School of Technology and Communication through a 3 year grant providing funds to bring in large amounts of technology teaching tools for teachers and students. Students are using laptops, smartboards, ipods, ipads, digital cameras, and much more to learn about their world and prepare for he future. The school has been thriving better than ever and the enrollment has increased to the point of having a waiting list, which is decided by a random lottery each year. The 3 years have long passed, but Brentwood Elementary Magnet School of Technology and Communication is thriving and moving forward through the use of innovative leadership, great teachers who love learning and teaching, increasing student engagement through the use of cooperative learning strategies,  the integration of technology, and recruitment of community. Through these methods and others, FCAT scores have increased, students love coming to school, leaders and teachers are requesting to work at Brentwood, and parents are begging to bring their children to Brentwood.

Brentwood Elementary School is a public K-5 school in the Escambia County School District. It is located at 4820 North Palafox Street. The current principal is Brian Alaback.

    In 1999, Brentwood Elementary School became Brentwood Magnet School of Technology and Communication through a 3 year grant providing funds to bring in large amounts of technology teaching tools for teachers and students.
