Beverly Zimmern is the 9th and incumbent [[Mayor of Gulf Breeze]] first coming into office in 2009 after the death of Gulf Breeze mayor [[Lane Gilchrist]]. Zimmern was first elected to the city council in 2001 and subsequently reelected in 2005 and 2009. Zimmern was serving as mayor pro tem in 2009 and was appointed to the position of mayor. She was reelected in 2010 and her term will expire in 2014. Zimmern is the first female mayor of Gulf Breeze.
