The festival was largely succeeded by the [[Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival]] in [[1973]], but the "Evening" was revived in [[1981]] for the [[Galvez Bicentennial Celebration]] and for subsequent [[Fourth of July]] events of the 1980s.
