'''Alex E. Erik Alexander Zelius''' was a ship chandler and grocer, as well as (for some time) the vice consul for both Norway, the Netherlands and Russia.
Born in Christiana, Norway, he migrated to Quebec in 1869 and to Pensacola in 1885. Quickly entering the ship chandlery business, he owned two launches (the ''Alberta'' and the ''Florida'') used for loading larger ships in the Bay.
