'''Ernest E. Harper''' was a [[Pensacola Police Department|Pensacola police officer]] and later a member of the [[Pensacola City Commission]].

After graduating school, Harper worked briefly in the retail grocery business before joining the [[Pensacola Police Department]]. Harper served in the Department for 17 years, and eventually served as [[Pensacola Chief of Police|Chief of Police]].

In [[1927]], Harper was appointed to the Pensacola City Commission after the death of Commissioner [[Frank Dent Sanders]]. He was reelected in [[1929]].
