- 1913 – The City of Pensacola transitioned from a mayor-alderman form of government to a board of commissioners.
- 1916 – Richard C. Saufley died during an endurance test flight at the Naval Aeronautic Station.
- 1978 – Kaleidoscope Dance Theatre was incorporated.
- 2005 – Pensacola City Councilman Marty Donovan motioned to suspend Community Maritime Park plans to issue a new nationwide RFP, but was voted down by other council members.
