Pensacola Habitat for Humanity (PHFH) was established in 1982 as the branch of Habitat for Humanity International serving Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties. Their mission is to eliminate poverty housing by creating quality affordable homes through volunteer labor and donated land, building materials and funds. In 2011, Steve Thomas Rooney joined Habitat for Humanity in helping to raise awareness for its mission.
