UWF Division of Anthropology and Archaeology

The UWF Division of Anthropology and Archaeology is a division of the University of West Florida that includes the traditional disciplines of anthropology, archaeology and sociology. Under director Judy Bense, this division has helped excavate a number of historically significant sites, including Hawkshaw and the Emanuel Point shipwrecks.

The university's Archaeology Institute and Florida Public Archaeology Network are a part of the division.
