Namesake: Juan Ponce de León

De Leon Street is an east-west street in downtown Pensacola that currently exists in two short spans, with much of the street's onetime footprint having been vacated over the years for development.

De Leon Street begins at Ninth Avenue and travels easterly for one block to 10th Avenue; from there it is interrupted for three blocks, resuming at 13th Avenue and traveling a short distance east.

It is named for Spanish explorer and conquistador Juan Ponce de León.
