He is president emeritus of both the Gulf Coast Economics Club and the Pensacola Republican Club, and has served as a precinct committeeman for the Escambia County Republican Executive Committee. He was a co-founder of the Panhandle Politico news site, and a principal at The Political Matrix and Open Market Research, organization dedicated to marketing and political consulting. He was the principal organizer of the first TEA party event in downtown Pensacola in April 2009. He also served as Escambia County co-chair for the Mitt Romney presidential campaign in 2012. He is a financial services professional by trade and has worked for Washington Mutual, Citigroup, Edward Jones, and Navy Federal Financial Group.
