What is not mentioned is the operation of the Rex Rox, when in late 1987 former Franco's Lounge owner Frank Masiarczyk opened it as a teen club. His son, Chris, was the manager, Musicians Memorial owner Lisa Black was the bartender, and I was the doorman. Popular local rock band Velvet Melon performed there at least once. I just wanted to note, in reference to the claim by MAD that they are renovating... someone is renovating. If you peek inside you can clearly see work going on including paint cans, woodworking, etc. dcosson ··· talk 14:47, 25 May 2007 (CDT)
