Looking at a low-res image of Thiesen's gravestone ([http://www.uwf.edu/gis/smc/images/476.jpg]), his middle name is either Ustrup or Usirup.  Personally, the third letter looks more like an "I" to me, but according to the Google, "Ustrup" is Danish.  I'm going with that.

First name

Thiesen's gravestone ([1]) spells his name CHRISTEN. Should we defer to that spelling? dscosson ··· talk 17:50, 7 April 2008 (CDT)

Middle name

Looking at a low-res image of Thiesen's gravestone ([2]), his middle name is either Ustrup or Usirup. Personally, the third letter looks more like an "I" to me, but according to the Google, "Ustrup" is Danish. I'm going with that. dscosson ··· talk 17:50, 7 April 2008 (CDT)
