Rodney Whatley was born in Atmore, Alabama. He graduated from Escambia County High School there in [[1982]], and went on to pursue a [[Wikipedia:Bachelor of Fine Arts|bachelor of fine arts degree]] in Theatre from the [[Wikipedia:University of Montevallo|University of Montevallo]] in [[1987]].
