Progressive Pensacola was a blog operated by local Democratic activist Derek Cosson that aimed to be "the voice of progress" for the Pensacola area.

Established in 2008, it posted its first entry on April 19.[1] According to Cosson, he started the blog "to inform; to bring important issues before the citizenry; and to spur citizen involvement in their government."[2]

The blog was powered by the open-source WordPress software.
