Ocotber 18 - An EF-1 tornado touches down near NAS Pensacola and travels through Warrington, the western half of downtown Pensacola, and the area around Cordova Mall. October 15 - Former ECSO deputy James Sullivan is sentenced to 24 months' probation for his destruction of evidence related to a December 29, 2004 incident of alleged excessive force. October 10 - The Brass Polisher is lost to fire. October 5 - Roy Atchison, assistant U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Florida, commits suicide while being held in federal prison in Michigan. Atchison was facing various charges after he allegedly flew to Michigan with the intent of having sex with a 5-year-old girl.
