The film premiered [[April 27]], [[2007]] at the [[Wikipedia:Tribeca_Film_Festival|Tribeca Film Festival]] in [[Wikipedia:New York City|New York City]].  Jeffrey Morgan, the film's director and co-producer, reported that the final two screenings of the film sold out, and that they have received requests to show the film at film festivals around the world.  The film was screened in Pensacola on [[October 26]], [[2007]] to open the year's [[Pensacola Film Festival]].  It was shown on a large outdoor screen set up in front of the [[T. T. Wentworth Museum]], with the crowd watching from [[Plaza Ferdinand VII]] (where Shaw was lynched).
