Kitt spent 14 years in Nashville honing her skills as a jazz artist. She moved home to Pensacola in 2004 to help care for her mother and decided to remain after her mom's passing. She now works for Lamar Advertising in sales and appears locally and regionally, with regular forays into New Orleans.

For this year's EIOS appearance June 10, she'll have with her longtime collaborator Dave Shelander on piano, veteran New York bassist Stever Gilmore, New Orleans cornetist Connie Jones along with local talent Sandy Spivey on sax and Jim Green on guitar.
