There is a very similar image of Eben Dorr IV on p. 44 of ''Pensacola: The Deep Water City'' (1982).  It is probably from the same session, but is not the same image.  He is looking head on as opposed to slightly-to-the-right here.  Also, the image is much less spotted than this one, but is of less resolution. :Hmm.  On second glance, this book identifies the man as the Eben Walker Dorr who was married to Clara Barkley (Vienne) Dorr... however, the man pictured is definitely the same man that we have pictured as Eber Dorr IV.  So either we are wrong or they are wrong.  Great! ::I think we're wrong. I got it from FPC, which identified him as "the marshal that branded the hand of Jonathan Walker after his trial for slave stealing." Now that I look again, though, it lists the subject as "Dorr, Ebenezer W., 1822-1870" -- in other words, [[Eben Walker Dorr]]. Maybe FPC just got mixed up on the marshal bit. --[[User:Admin|Admin]] 15:39, 15 November 2007 (CST)
