Notes from source: "Spain ceded Pensacola and West Florida to Britain by the Treaty of Paris in 1763. Written by a senior officer with the 35th Regiment (Royal Sussex), this journal was probably the work of Lieutenant-Colonel Henry Fletcher. The first eight leaves of this journal have been lost, making identification of the author uncertain, but Fletcher was the only senior officer associated with the regiment at this time who could have written the journal."
