Cam Villar (John Cameron) is a native of Pensacola. His paternal lineage is one of the oldest families in the Pensacola area, being a descendant of two Villar brothers who settled in Pensacola in 1698. That family has been represented in Pensacola ever since. Some of the surnames of these direct descendants currently residing in the area are Parker and Rozier. The history of Pensacola is an integral part of his life.

Cam was always an artist, and has spent his career working as a Creative Director/Internet Developer/Marketing Director and Social Media consultant in the Atlanta, Georgia area. Cam graduated from the Portfolio Center School of Advertising and Design with top honors, and was the winning designer of the 2003 Gulfcoast Arts Festival poster, notable for being the first time the Festival had chosen a design that incorporated photography into the poster. Cam is currently the Director of Marketing for L. M. Scofield Company, a building products manufacturer.

Cam is also a musician, and played in several bands during the New Wave era of the late 1970's and early 1980's in Pensacola.

Cam has been married to Anna Alcazar (Villar) since 1986 and has two children, Sonja and Evan.
