400 Pensacola Beach Boulevard
400 Pensacola Beach Boulevard is the location of what has been at least two different buildings. For beachgoers, it was visible on the left (east) just before entering the beach from the Bob Sikes Bridge. The dba names are as follows: Grand Marlin Restaurant (newer building), Boy On A Dolphin Restaurant (older building, 1980s), The Spinnaker Lounge (mid-to-late late 1970s), The Other Inn (early-to-mid 1970s), Gentleman George's, The Pier, and Breezeway Restaurant (1960s).
In late 1975 or early 1976, The Other Inn held a scheduled concert that was supposed to headline with The Blues Image band, whose late-1960s radio hit Ride, Captain, Ride had filled the airwaves. A late cancellation by the band led to their being replaced with the Cate Brothers, who had a more recent radio hit titled Mr Union Man.
