'''Greater Union Baptist Church''' is a historic [[Wikipedia:Baptist|Baptist]] congregation in [[Pensacola]]. The current church is , located in [[Long Hollow]], at 1300 North [[Guillemard Street]]. The latest pastor of Greater Union Baptist Church is the Reverend [[Hugh King|Hugh G. King, Sr.]]; King was suspended as pastor by the congregation erected in May [[2007]] after he was arrested and charged with cocaine possession. Hugh King is the fifteenth pastor of Greater Union Baptist Church; he was called to pastor in the spring of [[2004]] after the death of the church's previous pastor, his father, the Reverend [[A. J. King, Sr.|Dr. A. J. King, Sr.]]1972.
Greater Union was organized in 1875 by Rev. Stewart Adams of Greenville, Alabama. The congregation has had sixteen pastors in its long history. The current pastor, Rev. Michael A. Thompson, Sr., was installed on February 8, 2009.
